Ep. 116 Witchcraft Part 1

This week Bri & Ber FINALLY start a deep dive into a topic that has existed for centuries and spanned many cultures and religions, Witchcraft! They go over it's history, the many variations of witchcraft, and just scratch the surface of its controversial events that have happened over the years. As well as sprinkling a bit of pop culture throughout the episode.

Ep. 115 Shinigami

This week Bri & Ber discuss one of the more well known Japanese folklore due to anime, the Shinigami! They go over how it's story progressed over time, how they prey on humans, and as mentioned earlier they representation in pop culture. All while being nostalgic about 90s toys and movie rental businesses.

Ep. 114 Golem

This week Bri & Ber discuss a creature well known through Jewish folklore, the Golem. They go over the most well known tales of its creation, the potential dangers of creating a golem, and just barely scratch the surface of how its appeared throughout the years in pop culture. As well as tying in random anime references throughout the episode.

Ep. 113 Strix

This week Bri & Ber discuss a creature that was feared through out multiple culture, the Strix! They go over it's different origins, how to know if you see one, and try to decide if it's a witch or a vampire. All while shaming Austin for no reason and getting nostalgic.

Ep. 112 Boggarts

This week Bri & Ber discuss a creature that is well know in British folklore, the Boggart! They go over it's origins, some of the well known stories, how to know you're being haunted by one, and how you may have heard of it in pop culture today. As well as making the discovery that Ber's youngest child just might be one, due to many eerie similarities.

Ep. 111 Succubus & Incubus

This week Bri & Ber discuss demons that potentially plague people in their sleep and drain them of their life force, Succubus and Incubus. They go over, their origins, how they potentially work together (or are just one shape shifting demon), and how science potentially disproves their existence. All while they possibly reveal Austin's true identity, by accusing him of being one with zero proof.

Ep. 110 Sihuanaba Part 2

This week Bri & Ber continue with different cultural variations of Sihuanaba. They go over how she is not only a horse faced woman, but could also be an older woman, or one with chicken feet. All the while getting distracted with movie references and nostalgia.

This week Bri & Ber discuss a legend well known throughout central america, Sihuanaba! In this first part they go over who she is, how to recognize her, and a few of the different variations in Spain, El Salvador, and Guatemala. As well as reminiscing on their days of being basement creatures.

This week Bri & Ber discuss a urban legend well known in Brazil, the Headless Mule. They go over its origins, different variations, and interpretations of the potential symbolism in the lore. While also discussing the Blade franchise and some how adding more steps to Bri's last will and testament.

This week Bri & Ber discuss a well known mythological being in Norse folklore, Dwarfs! They talk about their origins, the different roles they played in folk tales, and how they are featured in pop culture today. Sprinkled with anxiety public service announcements, and overly creative ways to prank your workplace.
